The 2017 Summer Series hosted by MOSAIC’s Youth Centre consisted of three summer activities within the months of July and August.
Under the larger theme of Empowering Resiliency, the series targeted community awareness among youth, developing self-protection strategies, developing healthy coping techniques and sustaining life balance, engaging in sports and recreational activities, and building a diverse toolkit for healthy decision making and future choices.

Gaming Around Downtown Vancouver
Join youth facilitators, leaders, and participants to conduct an exciting scavenger hunt around Downtown Vancouver.
Vancity Downtown, known to be the highlight of beautiful BC, will be explored and participants will play various games allowing them to identify risk factors in our local community. In fact, the hunt will be followed up with a Community Policing presentation in the Coal Harbor area and finally, a delicious lunch! Volunteer hours, certificate, lunch, and prizes included!

Knowledge 101: Designing Your Toolkit
Join Youth for a Change at Vancouver’s Trout Lake Community Center to learn about LGBTQ2+ issues as well as cultural diversity!
Join the interactive experience of understanding intersectional components of youth at risk AND collecting resources to tackle every risk factor! Finally, register to become a part of Mosaic’s Youth Advocacy Group, and have a head start to developing your network! Volunteer hours, certificate of Summer Series completion, youth advocate badges, lunch, and prizes!
