Tanja Krzman, a certified translator since 1997, has worked for MOSAIC Translation Services for 25 years. She has a bachelor’s degree in English language and literature from the University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. With over 25 years of experience as a professional translator, interpreter, proofreader, language consultant and project manager, Tanja has an in-depth knowledge of the language services industry. Her experience includes working both as a full-time and a freelance translator and interpreter for many years, both abroad and in Canada, providing translation and interpretation services at Canadian diplomatic missions abroad, and managing large multilingual projects for MOSAIC for over a decade. She has interpreted in various challenging settings – adoption cases, witness/victim accounts of war crimes, and international press centers. She passed the UN competitive translation exam and was on the roster of translators for the International Criminal Court for the former Yugoslavia in The Hague.
Tanja regularly attends conferences of the International Federation of Translators, the ultimate place to keep abreast of the new trends in the language services industry. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Society of Translators and Interpreters of BC, actively advocating for the advancement and promotion of the profession. Tanja also holds an appointment as a Commissioner for Taking Affidavits for British Columbia.
