Youth Programs Spotlight: Make an Impact
By Mischa Milne, Communications Coordinator
MOSAIC’s employees and volunteers are uniting this November to support newcomer youth, seniors, and families in the MOSAIC for Good campaign.
Youth programs at MOSAIC are one of the essential causes that you can choose to support. Newcomer youth face many challenges, including feelings of isolation, loneliness, language barriers, mental health issues and bullying.
Some of the key programs at MOSAIC for youth include:
Youth Wellness Hub – This new program offers free soft-skills workshops and one-on-one, culturally sensitive counselling for newcomer youth ages 15-29. Workshop topics include mindfulness and wellbeing, fostering health relationships, and self-regulation strategies.
Wraparound Program – The Wraparound Program offers youth ages 13-17 living in South and East Vancouver wraparound support to develop their strengths and to build on their resilience. Certified Wraparound facilitators work with youth to engage in pro-social activities, develop healthy attachments to their communities, and make progress towards their goals.
Your donations to youth programs at MOSAC could make a world of difference for a young person as they build a new life in Canada.
With the funds raised through the MOSAIC for Good Campaign, you can help MOSAIC continue to support immigrant and refugee youth. Pledge your support today.
