With 70 million people forcibly displaced from their home regions, it’s not surprising that those fortunate enough to relocate and start a new life may no longer have documentation to support their educational or professional credentials. The areas that refugees, asylum seekers and newcomers hail from may also have experienced so much turmoil and change that credentials can’t even be verified.
That’s where the WES (World Education Services) Gateway Program can perform an invaluable service. This non-profit organization is dedicated to helping international students and professionals to succeed in Canada and the United States by assessing and validating educational and academic achievements.
MOSAIC is very proud to partner with WES Gateway Program as the only referral agency in BC. Individuals from seven countries who have been displaced by political unrest, conflict and natural disasters are now eligible for a high-quality credential evaluation report that can be accepted and recognized by employers, higher education institutions, and regulatory bodies throughout Canada. When you call MOSAIC, designated settlement workers will conduct assessments and make referrals to the program.
The program is available to former residents who meet eligibility requirements from these countries:
WES Gateway Program recommends that applicants make every effort to obtain official documentation themselves from their learning institutions before seeking to access to its services.
