Project Overview

The Safeguarding and Facilitating Empowerment (SAFE) Project is an initiative to address human trafficking using both prevention and intervention strategies. Using a trauma-informed approach, SAFE will design resources and deliver educational sessions to equip and empower populations at risk of trafficking. It will also develop a case management system for survivors or victims of trafficking to access emotional and practical supports.

The long-term goal of SAFE is to establish promising practices that can be replicated, and so the project will also provide training and resources to settlement agencies to enhance their capacity to provide trauma-informed services to victims and survivors of trafficking.

Be sure to check back to this page for more information as the project progresses.
