About this program

Come join the fun and meet immigrant seniors just like you!

Our Seniors Club has a wide range of free activities that encourage participants to make new friends, learn new skills and join community events. Aimed at immigrants and refugees aged 55 years and up, participants enjoy a myriad of benefits to their physical, social, spiritual, emotional, and mental well-being through these activities.

Immigrant seniors often find the cultural barrier of coming to Canada more challenging. Our Seniors Club is designed as a place for seniors to feel a part of the community with age-appropriate opportunities for learning and having fun.

In addition to activities, our Seniors Club can provide resources on government benefits, community support, health-related information, and information on Canadian laws and rights.

Challenge yourself everyday!
If you are an older immigrant or refugee, age 55+, and would like to participate in some of our Seniors Club programs, contact us below:

English Conversation Circle

This program is designed to help seniors learn basic day-to-day English and to practice everyday communication in a friendly setting. In this circle of support, you can feel safe to share the struggles and challenges in your life, and receive peer support and useful information from friendly staff and volunteers.

Circles are designed as “Beginner” and “Upper Beginner” levels. Please call Seniors Club Staff for an updated schedule.

The Seniors Club is made possible through support from Immigration, Refugee & Citizenship Canada, the Ministry of Jobs, Tourism & Skills Training, the United Way, City of Vancouver and City of Burnaby.
